Position Overview:
As a Payroll and Finance Operations Specialist, you will take ownership of the daily operations of our Serbian and Swiss entities. This role provides a comprehensive view of all major financial aspects of our company, aligning closely with our delivery functions and other areas of business growth.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
External Accounting Management:
- Managing the accounting process and expertly supervising our external accounting agencies ensures accurate bookings in financial tools Pantheon (Serbia) and Bexio (Switzerland). This involves validating and correcting financial data to ensure compliance with local regulations and IFRS.
Accounts Receivables:
- Manage the preparation of semi-automated invoices and monitor client opening terms.
- Carry out e-banking verification, including balancing and accounting adjustments, to accurately assess income and expenses and their accounting justification.
- Manage overdue debts and reminder process.
Accounts Payables:
- Verify incoming invoices from a legal, tax, and accounting perspective, ensuring vendor contract compliance, accounting compliance, and duties arising from incoming invoices.
- Oversee the entire process of incoming documentation, including receipt, verification, recording, and payment tracking, to ensure accurate accounting practices, cost control, and tax compliance.
- Ensure the accuracy of entered data and booking logs.
- Prepare monthly reports on inbound and outbound invoices and cash flow, ensuring financial tracking and management accuracy.
Payroll Management:
- Assist in payroll processing preparation to ensure timely and accurate calculations of employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
- Prepare and maintain employee documentation, contracts, and decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while managing accurate payroll records.
- Collaborating with finance team members to enhance the efficiency of financial workflows, focusing on reducing processing time and improving payroll accuracy
- Actively monitor legal regulations and requirements related to financial operations to ensure financial operations comply with applicable laws and standards.
Your Profile:
- A hands-on individual with strong execution skills and a drive for operational excellence
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field – 3 or more years of experience in the field
- A good understanding of the legal and accounting responsibilities of a Serbian-based company
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Diligent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive team spirit
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
