Finance Assistant - InterVenture Team

As we scale our operations, we seek a Finance Assistant to join our core team and play an integral role in supporting our finance team’s growth.
Your responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Bank account administration: tracking balances, preparation and execution of payments, and follow-up on payment
- Manage overdue debts and the reminder process
- Manage the preparation of semi-automated invoices and monitor client opening terms
- Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements, adhering to legal and company accounting guidelines
- Support the review of expenses, payroll records, and other assigned financial documents.
- Regularly update financial data in databases, ensuring the information is accurate and easily accessible when needed
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly financial reports to ensure timely and accurate tracking
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll by gathering and updating all employee-related data
- Prepare and maintain employee documentation, contracts, and decisions, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations while accurately managing payroll records
- Support additional accounting and payroll projects as needed, contributing to continuous improvement in financial processes.
Your profile:
- A hands-on individual with strong execution skills and a drive for operational excellence
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical approach
- Diligent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive team spirit
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a finance department, accounting or payroll is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant financial software (knowledge of Pantheon will be considered as an advantage).
